Interactive Directory & Game Overview

Businesses get listed on the Interactive Directory and receive a custom QR code to display in their business location or on their website. New and uniquely themed scavenger hunts are released monthly. Players visit SSLH businesses to answer clues by scanning QR codes. Each scan is an entry into the monthly prize drawing.

Participation Cost

Businesses can take advantage of quarterly ($333 - begin Jan / April / July / Oct), six months ( $555 - begin anytime), or a full year membership ($999 - begin anytime) Includes a listing on the website and participation in unlimited hunts . The game is always free to play.

Who Can Join?

The Interactive Directory is open to any small business located in CT. The design is most effective for businesses who have a physical location or a mobile fleet, but a website or products located inside other locations often works very well too. We are happy to discuss it with you before you make the decision. We do not allow chains - franchises are a case by case basis.

Types Of Hunts

General Play: Earn unlimited entries into the month end prize drawings by visiting SSLH businesses and scanning the QR codes. Themed Hunts: Find solutions to open ended clues by exploring SSLH businesses. We donate ten cents for every themed hunt submission (up to $500) to help local dogs, and you earn entries to the monthly prize drawing. “Meet The New Businesses” is a hunt that drives traffic to specific businesses who have recently joined the directory. And More!

QR Codes

Every business gets a custom QR code that links directly to a form for their business. Players will register their details on this form to log their visit, earn an entry into the prize drawing, and to cast votes / provide feedback.

Prizes For Players

We give away a lot of prizes, just for playing! Everytime a player scans a QR code and registers their visit, they get an entry into that month’s prize drawing. We also give away a cash prize to the player who visits the most businesses each month. Prizes may be gift cards, cash or specific items.

In addition to integrating awareness, encouraging donations, volunteering, fundraising and sharing available dogs through the scavenger hunt and website, we also allocate significant funding to donate direct to dogs in crisis and the people who care for them right here in CT.
