Meet our super handsome and outgoing boy named Smudgie!

We believe Smudgie is less than 2 years old and you may have seen his story on our Facebook page. In June, Smudgie was seen multiple nights in a row roaming around our local Target parking lot.

After he was fed in the same spot those nights, a trap was set. It did not take long for him to enter that trap and be transported to our shelter for safety. Immediately, Smudgie was looking for human attention and showed us that he was a friendly guy.

Besides having a bad urinary tract infection when he came in, which has now been treated, he was in good shape and we don't think he was wandering outside for too long.

Smudgie is now ready for his forever home where he will never be abandoned again!

He is a very high energy boy who loves to play and be with his people. We think he may have some herding breed in him, as he will try to herd you at your ankles if you are not paying attention to him. Due to this and his jumpiness, he can go to a home with children 15 years old and older who have experience with med/large sized dogs. Smudgie seems fine with other dogs here.
