Let’s Play!

Hey friends, it’s me, Bruno!

I am in such a great mood today! April’s old bed is SUPER comfortable and I slept better than ever last night. I guess it’s a good thing I peed all over my old one huh? I bet if I pee on this one that mom will give me April’s bed again, and it’s almost brand new… She must not realize how very smart I am tee hee!

Anyway, yesterday I wrote that word “family” and it put me into some big feelings. Not bad ones, but not happy ones. It felt like a real heavy pressure on my chest and my eyes got all watery when I thought about mom, dad, and my siblings. My life before them was pretty rough, but I don’t like to talk about it much. I don’t think it had really occured to me that I had an actual family now, and it just kinda made me feel warm, and scared all at the same time. Have you ever felt like that? When I am happy everything feels really light and airy and silly, but this… This was just a really powerful grasp that felt like someone was squeezing my heart and it was leaking out my eyes. I guess I do stilll have a lot to learn because I have no idea what that was.

Afterwards though I got really energetic and so last night I invented a new game, and mom even named it! I wanted to tell you guys about it because if it’s something you enjoy playing, then maybe we could play together when I get permission to go out and explore with you guys!

It’s REALLY easy, and you don’t need a lot of room. Some floor space is good, but you definitely want to have furniture, walls, and people nearby. Start anywhere. A bed, couch, the floor, all of those are good starting places. Then just run as fast as you can and leap at the walls and people, but do it with your back feet so you can push off of them or, better yet, climb them!

You have to be super super quick though because if you stop for too long or of you are too slow then your dad will catch you. My mom was too busy laughing while pressed into the fetal position to protect her face and every few seconds she would yell “Parkour!” The best part was when dad started yelling it too! I was so out of breath after a little while but it was so so much fun.

Do you Parkour in your house? Would you want to Parkour with me if we could play together?

I’m going to keep it short today because I just heard mom say something about Thanksgiving, and all my brothers just ran over to sit next to her, so I am guessing that means it’s time for “don’t tell daddy snacks.”
